DIGITAL LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE CONFERENCE 2016

The 17th annual International Conference on Information Technology in Landscape Architecture: Digital Landscape Architecture DLA 2016 will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, 01-03 June, 2016. We would like to invite you to contribute to this conference on teaching of new technologies in landscape architecture. The DLA Program Committee cordially invites you to submit proposals for original, unpublished presentations focusing on the conference’s main theme:

“Representing, Evaluating and Designing Landscapes: Digital Approaches”

Please submit “Extended Abstracts” (minimum one page, maximum two pages text including key references and optional additional selected graphics) as pdf file online via a web-based submission system at www.dla2016.itu.edu.tr DLA Conference 2016 by October 1, 2015 for review and possible inclusion in the program as presentation or as poster. The topics of DLA 2016 include (but are not limited to):

  1. Systems Thinking in Landscape Design Processes
  2. Interactive Virtual Reality & Landscape Visualization
  3. Geodesign Concepts and Applications
  4. Mobile Devices for Geodesign
  5. Point Clouds for Geodesign
  6. Teaching Methods in Digital Landscape Architecture
  7. Landscape Information Model (LIM) and Standardization
  8. Application of Unmanned Area Vehicle (UAV) in Landscape Architecture
  9. Digital Modeling and Fabrication in Landscape Architecture

The conference proceedings are published as fully reviewed papers by Wichmann Verlag, VDE Verlag GmbH, Berlin-Offenbach, in the new ”Digital Landscape Architecture Journal” by Wichmann/VDE publisher Berlin and Offenbach, a full double blind review journal. Extended versions of selected papers will also be proposed for publication in A|Z ITU Journal of the Faculty of Architecture.
